All citrus except grapefruit and Valencia oranges must be removed from the trees by March 15th.
Orange Salad with Honey and Mint
Ingredients
As many oranges as you want, peeled, pith trimmed off, seeded, and cut into rings
1/2 cup toasted Sicilian pistachios or not
Scatter pitted green olives on plate
Mint leaves scatter on plate
Zest and juice of the oranges + lemon
Honey to taste, maybe 1 tsp.
1 tsp chopped fresh dill
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
Pinch of salt, to taste
Directions
Add the oranges, pistachios, mint leaves, olives to a decorative dish.
In a small bowl, mix together the lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, dill, and EVOO. Season with salt.
